When carrying out an EPC assessment Andrew R Mason will take into account a number of factors that will determine the energy efficiency of the property. Access to the whole of the property will be required and a typical assessment will take up to an hour. Checks will include:
- The energy efficiency of the heating system installed in the property will be considered, including working fireplaces.
- The type of windows throughout the property and the heat efficiency of the glazing.
- The quantity and type of loft and wall insulation used.
- An assessment of the lighting used throughout the property.
